Hanna Staruk

Hi! My name is Hanna Staruk and I studied/interned abroad in Dublin, Ireland as a rising junior (Summer 2022). While abroad, I worked for an insulation company that used funding from the Irish government to upgrade the insulation in low-income homes. Truthfully, I picked this program almost solely because it was one of the few that offered an engineering internship, but now I can't imagine myself having gone anywhere else. It was nerve-wracking to pack up and leave everything that's familiar, but I would not trade it for the world. I formed wonderful friendship both with the UF students that were on the program and with the people I met in Dublin, stepped out of my comfort zone, and made memories that I will hold dear for the rest of my life. Studying abroad was the best decision I ever made!
